St. Joseph Catholic School Dress Code

Free Dress: When free dress is allowed, appropriate attire must be worn. Shirts with inappropriate sayings or pictures are not allowed. Spaghetti straps are not allowed. Flip-flops are never allowed.

Junior High Dances: Appropriate clothing is expected to be worn to all dances. The dress code is usually provided to each student before the dance but GENERALLY "dressy attire" is expected. For boys: slacks with collared shirt, dressy shirt without collar, or sweater. For Girls: dress, slacks, or skirt with blouse or sweater; The following items are NOT allowed: baggy, low riding, oversized pants, shorts, jeans, tee-shirts, bare midriffs, hats, tank tops, halter tops, strapless tops, low-cut tops, spaghetti strap tops, no extremely short skirts or dresses (hems must come below fingers when arm is held straight), no revealing clothing, no beach attire, no flip-flops.

	The white knit polo shirt and the green walking shorts is acceptable for students in all grades. Note the shirt neatly tucked in!
	Shoes are all black: oxford style or tennis shoe (no boots). Only black tennis shoes, as shown in the second picture, are allowable for PE. All shoes must be all black (no stripes and no logos of a different color). Socks must be SOLID white or SOLID green. White or green knee-highs or tights are allowed. No socks with stripes or logos allowed.
	Gray twill pants are acceptable for all students, shirt neatly tucked in!
	The plaid skirt is allowable for girls in grades 5-8 with a white polo shirt, neatly tucked in! The plaid jumper is acceptable for girls in grades K-4 with a white polo shirt.
	A green cardigan, pullover or vest sweater is allowed.
Infractions:	Shirt is to be tucked in at all times to pants, shorts and skirts.
	Socks with logos are not allowed.
	Shoes with non-black stripes are not allowed.
