St.
Joseph Catholic School
The Extended Care Program is
designed to support and supplement the family by
providing quality care that promotes the student's
physical, social, emotional and cognitive
development through nurturing staff members in a
planned environment. Open from
7:00 AM until 6:00 PM each day, the Extended Care Program
provides professional care, supervision, recreation and enrichment
activities including a Science Club, Drama and Crafts.
It serves families who desire both a parochial school education
and supplementary care in a Christian environment for children
enrolled in St. Joseph Catholic School, kindergarten through eighth
grade. Within a large family
environment, the program strives to provide
individual attention, security, consistency and
fair treatment for students of St. Joseph
School. Though primarily designed to
serve the needs of working parents, the Extended
Care Program is also available to parents on a
part-time or occasional basis, depending on their
needs.
Enrollment
Procedure
Every family which makes use of the Extended Care Program
pays a registration fee of $50.00. Registration begins in May when
school
registration is held. Checks are to be made payable to St. Joseph School"please
put "Extended Care" or "E.C." on memo line.
Fees
Families who use the Extended Care Program are charged according
to an hourly fee schedule. The current rate is $4.50 per hour. There
is a 10% discount for
two or more children. Families are billed monthly.
Homework
Each day a supervised homework period is scheduled. Student
provide their own supplies. Tutors from St. Francis may be
available for special needs.
After
School Sports
Students may be released from the Extended Care
Program to participate in after school sports. Time spent
under the coach's supervision is not charged as Extended
Care.
