About Development at St. Joseph School
Due to the rising costs of maintaining quality programs, Catholic schools continually face new financial challenges. Today Catholic school educators and leaders share the responsibility to establish funding formulas that ensure the viability and survivability of our institutions. Almost every Catholic high school and many Catholic elementary schools have established and expanded school Development programs. The Development Program at St. Joseph School was established in 1999. Its primary goal has been to tell the “success story of Catholic schools” and to raise the awareness of the enormous contributions our school has made to the Mountain View community.

Clearly, Development is more than raising money for the future of our school. It is about building relationships with people who will share the good news of St. Joseph School. Based on that definition, every parent, friend, alumni and donor at St. Joseph School is involved in Development.

Join The Legacy – Ways to Make a Gift

St. Joseph School is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. All gifts large and small are appreciated and acknowledged. Our school is grateful for your continued support.

Memorial / Tribute Program:

A contribution to St. Joseph school may be made at any time to honor a friend, remember a special occasion, or commemorate the death of a loved one. Donations of $2500.00 or more are recognized with an established memorial and an engraved plaque that is in place in the main lobby of the school.

Gifts of Cash and Check:
The majority of gifts made to St. Joseph School, are made in the form of cash or check. A gift of cash/check entitles a donor to the most generous federal income tax deduction available for charitable contributions.

Matching Gifts:
Many companies offer a Matching Gift program to their employees. This program doubles the amount of your donation at no cost to you. Your employer’s Human Resource department can provide you with a Matching Gift form.

Wine Tasting for Tuition Scholarships:
More than 200 community supporters enjoyed a night of wine tasting, food, and live/silent auction. The entire community is given the opportunity to participate in this annual Development event. Monies received from the evening go to the SJMV Tuition Assistance program. You can make a difference by “Giving the gift of a Catholic Education”. If you are interested in attending the Wine Tasting please call the Development Office at 650-967-1839 ext 12
